Ekofuel 1 Litre Bottles No Longer Supplied with Inserts: Helping Reduce Single-Use Plastics

For over a decade, Ekofuel has been committed to providing high-quality bioethanol fuel in 1-litre bottles, each equipped with a plastic pouring nozzle insert. However, in our ongoing effort to reduce single-use plastics and minimize our environmental impact, we have decided to remove the plastic insert from our 1-litre bioethanol fuel bottles.
Small single-use plastics, such as those previously included in our packaging, pose significant environmental risks. Due to their small size, these items are easily overlooked in waste management systems and often end up polluting natural environments. Over time, these plastics break down into microplastics, which persist in ecosystems, infiltrating food chains and causing widespread harm.

Ekofuel Bottles and Caps are 100% Recyclable

To further help reduce plastic waste, please ensure that all your Ekofuel bottles and caps are disposed of in your plastic recycling bin. Ekofuel bioethanol fuel bottles are 100% recyclable. Simply make sure the bottle is empty before recycling both the bottle and cap.
By eliminating the plastic inserts from our 1litre bioethanol fuel bottles and ensuring they are 100% recyclable, we aim to reduce our contribution to plastic pollution. We believe that every step toward reducing plastic use, no matter how small, is essential in protecting our planet and promoting more sustainable practices.
